What will we study?​

 

We work from progressive method books. Each song enables a student to practice the skills they have learned and also learn a new skill.  I believe that most of the lesson should be centered on playing our instruments and learning songs. Theory and history are taught when we learn more about the songs we are playing and when we compose our own songs that we can play. Scales and studies can target specific skills and techniques. 

 

In the lesson, you play through the assignment you've been working on for the past week and get feedback that always feels encouraging. When we have generally mastered that song, we can learn a new one!
